TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Whether it’s a winter ski holiday, a spring wildflower hike or a lazy weekend of music and shopping, the many pleasures of Michigan’s delightful Grand Traverse region just became even more affordable.

 

Starting Jan. 2, the Traverse City Convention & Visitors Bureau will offer two special packages – a “Winter Adventure” package that runs until March 15 and a “Girlfriends Getaway” that will last until May 15. Both combine special low rates at more than 20 participating hotels and resorts – as low as $22.50 per person midweek and $27.50 per person on weekends (plus tax, based on double occupancy) -- with a wide range of discounts on winter recreation, shopping, dining and entertainment.

 

For winter sports enthusiasts, the packages include deep discounts on lift tickets, ski lessons and equipment, snowmobile rentals and sleigh rides. There are also great deals at some of the area’s best restaurants, and special discounts on shopping, spa treatments, bowling, gaming, movies and other entertainment.
